Welcome to my online portfolio. I am delighted that you are interested in getting a more detailed impression of my work. On this page, I will guide you through some of my areas of experience as a copywriter and show you some examples of my work in these areas:
Homepage and category copy are one of the first pages visitors enter on their search. When writing copy for home and category pages, I therefore focus on addressing a visitor’s problem or desire, showing possible solutions and giving them guidance to find their best option.
Blog posts have been a major part of my work. I believe a good blog post is one that provides helpful information and reads human and conversational while always keeping SEO in mind. I also produced many Glossary entries to educate readers and convey complex topics more on-point by translating them into easily accessible and snackable chunks of knowledge.
At JOIN, our content team teamed up with our product marketing manager to help create success stories. This involved assisting with customer interviews to transform their use cases into compelling success stories.
Preparation:
As we were a newly formed team, I first checked what information our predecessors' success stories were based on to ensure consistency. I then created an interview checklist to help ensure that all the necessary information would be provided. Next, I prepared a set of questions and a rough outline of the interview process, which we sent to the interviewee in advance. We simultaneously asked for visuals (logo, photo of the interviewee, product- or company-related photo).
Processing:
During the recorded interview, I checked my list, asking complementary questions where necessary. After the interview, I screened the recording, made a transcript, extracted the most relevant quotes, and produced a draft. After having the draft lectured, the product marketing manager sent it to the customer for approval. Once everything was approved, I adapted the visuals to meet our guidelines, transferred everything to our CMS and submitted it for quality assurance before publishing it.
When my colleagues were assigned customer success stories, I did the lecturing and quality assurance.

As a certified foreign language correspondent, I learned how to produce high-quality localisations, which has been an integral part of my work over the years. I have localised short and long copy of all kinds from English into German and vice versa.
Here are a few examples of my work to give you a better idea of my localisation skills (EN ⇾ GER):
A rare but great pleasure for me is writing puns, slogans, etc. for advertising materials. I was first assigned this challenge in 2020 while working for a local SEO agency in Berlin. At that time, I had been asked to write puns for an online recruitment campaign. More creative writing assignments would follow, challenging my talent for concise wordplay and enriching my daily work routine. Here are some recent examples:
For SCAYLE’s presence at K5 FUTURE RETAIL CONFERENCE 2023, Berlin, along with my junior content writer I created puns for our booth giveaway (ice cream) and our beverage sponsorship (fridge stickers).
For future fairs and events, I was asked to craft new sticker puns as well. My favourite pun was unfortunately not approved, but I am proud of it because it effectively conveys a complex technical context and shows one of SCAYLE’s advantages within a few easy-to-understand words.
Speaking of concise short copy: I am also very enthusiastic about the art of UX writing. In two of my previous jobs, I was given the opportunity to actively shape the user experience of two very different products (a software and a technical device). Being a very attentive and supportive person, I immediately realised how rewarding and satisfying it was for me to create UX copy that helps users get the most out of a cutting-edge product.
JOIN streamlines hiring for SMBs with innovative job spreading and applicant management software (SaaS). I provided the German in-app, pop-up, and email copy as well as FAQs. Together with product management and customer success teams, I set up JOIN’s Recruiter Help Center in Stonly and steadily optimized it according to our users' needs. Due to the many positive, verified customer reviews, JOIN was awarded for Best Ease of Use by Capterra.
FireFly is an innovative ignition system for consumer fireworks distributed by NICO Europe and designed for creating individual shows at home. I enhanced and localised the in-app copy of the ignition app and created the corresponding user manual to ensure a smooth and hassle-free user experience.

This stunning teaser trailer was my very first video. In 2017, NICO's pyro technician team was invited to take part in the 7th China (Liuyang) International Pyro Musical Competition. Before their performance, all the teams had to show a teaser trailer about their fireworks business, including some of their previous shows.
Working closely with our video editor, I developed a short script, wrote some short copy and selected the licence-free music. I like the video a lot because even though it is a bit cheesy and was made with no budget at all, it still manages to give you goosebumps.
